You have that dream inside but you’re not sure what to do with it.
How do you pursue a dream and still balance all the other pieces of your life? Where do you even start?
As a dreamer, coach, and podcast host of The Fearless Chase, Madison’s going to share with you tips on how you can make your biggest dreams a reality.
What Keeps You Going?
The number one thing is to quit being a victim. Take responsibility for your day and creating your dreams. Once you’ve started forward, you’ll start to feel the fire inside. When that fire’s there, you just keep fueling the fire and use the memory of who you were prior to keep you motivated to keep taking those small steps. We’re all going to face obstacles and tasks that take us completely out of our comfort zone. In order to move past those fears and be triumphant, you have to focus on the reason you want to do something more than what you might be telling yourself other’s think about it.
“What I want is bigger than what I care about how you think about it.” ~Madison Anaya
Another important aspect is to surround yourself with community and be intentional about it. Have people in your life who can talk to you honestly.
It’s different for everyone. You just need something to start that fire and then throw gas on it every time it starts to go out. Ask for help if you need it. Don’t let fear stop you. Even if you are afraid, sometimes you just need to jump in and do it.
Pick one goal and write it down on a bright piece of paper. Then on post it notes, write down all the steps you know to make that goal a reality. Get it out of your head. Then write it all out in a journal or type it up and see if there is anything you can be more specific about. Rather than “write one chapter” break it down to “wake up at 6 AM, set laptop on kitchen table, make coffee, write first sentience” so it isn’t super overwhelming. You can even cover up most of it if it overwhelms you too much.
Comparison will keep you from taking action and pursuing your goals. Don’t compare your steps to other’s steps either. You can use people for inspiration, but don’t let it hold you back.

How Do You Make It Happen?
Make time for it. Schedule it.
We are all busy, so it will take effort to see what you can take off of your list. Maybe you can even have a Not-To-Do list. If you don’t have 1 hour to 30 minutes to yourself, there is a bigger problem. Sometimes you have to push through to take other things off of your list, but that should only be temporary.
Break it down into bite size chunks and realize that you go through seasons and cycles.
How Can It Really Impact Your Life?
It’s so important that you pursue your own dreams. You have gifts inside of you that this world needs you to use. You have to energize yourself and refill yourself. Your dreams are what keep you going and energize you to do everything else you love too!
Your dreams can be your inspiration to live all aspects of your life well.
But I Just Can’t!
You always can. It doesn’t have to be a big grandiose dream. It could be as simple as putting joy in your schedule or taking an exercise class or meeting up with your friends once a week. Your dreams are your dreams. They change for different seasons too. Success is striving for your dreams…whatever that is! We all look different. It’s okay to have different dreams and different seasons. But don’t shame yourself for the dreams you have right now and don’t let anyone make you feel like it isn’t good enough. All of your dreams matter, no matter how big or small.
Most days you can find me on Target dates with my middle-school boyfriend turned husband, Alex, with an iced chai-tea latte in hand.
I’m mostly known for hosting the podcast, The Fearless Chase, which is all about learning to fearlessly chase your dreams like your life depends on it-because let’s be honest it does. People often refer to me as a fiery motivator.
I love serving the world by encouraging and inspiring women to pursue their purpose. The things I’m most passionate about in life are loving people, humor, and cuddling my fur-babies whenever possible.
I serve creatives, dreamers, and doers who want to step into who they were made to be.
