What Foods Get Stored in the Fridge??

Not saying fresh is always best, but hands down most of our kitchen foods consists of fresh. And I am so guilty of putting nearly everything in the fridge. But did you know that not all foods are best in the fridge? There are some foods that don’t go in the fridge. Some of them have been surprising to me and some of them I just can’t stop doing….like tomatoes. I STILL put them in the fridge.
So I’m going to give you the 411 for where to store your foods so that they stay fresh the best.
Keep in a cool dark place
- Potatoes
- Onions (store these separately than others because they can cause other foods to over ripen and spoil)
- Garlic
- Winter squash
