5 Reasons You Might Be Procrastinating with Renae Fieck
Decluttering has been a huge part of my journey and I ask myself every day what I need to let go of. Because in order to feel free and achieve our goals, we need to let go of certain clutter in our lives, wherever areas it may be. And today we’re going to discuss a deep-seated pattern that we need to expel— our fears.
Why we procrastinate
One of the bad habits that many can relate to is procrastination. Not only do we get unproductive, but we also feel guilty for it. Procrastination is not just a lack of energy, but is a symptom of something deeper going on. And overcoming procrastination requires us to get to the root of it. Because we can’t really ‘force’ our way into doing something, we need to know the reasons behind our procrastination.
And oftentimes, our procrastination is rooted in fear. We are subconsciously afraid of certain things that our bodies refuse to do ‘what needs to be done.’ And identifying those fears can already help us remove a lot of control these fears may have over us. So now we have to know the types of fear that make us procrastinate:
Fear of…
- Not being perfect
- Failure
- Criticism
- Not knowing what to do
- Realizing you don’t actually like it
Hop on to this episode and let’s dive into these types of fear so you can figure out which one you need to let go of! (See also: How to build a mom side hustle.)
