Clutter Free Easter Basket Ideas

It came upon me quick….I wasn’t expecting it. I know I should have been but I feel like the holidays this year have been passing me by so quickly. So it’s the week of Easter, and I honestly haven’t thought much about it.  Maybe it’s the fact that I’m in denial that it’s almost April. I want to stop and enjoy the holiday.  I want my kids to celebrate it for what it truly means, the rising of Jesus. But….I also want to stay away from the commercialism and excess stuff. I’ve really been learning to see the “stuff” not as just the enjoyment in the moment, but in the added stress or frustration that comes later when I’m cleaning it up over and over or feel overwhelmed by stuff and the to do list.

So here’s what I’m ordering for my kiddos to have in their Easter baskets.

Clutter Free Easter Basket
  • Swimming Suit, like this super cute unicorn one for my oldest- It’s sort of tradition that at Christmas they get pajamas and in their Easter basket they get a swim suit for the summer months coming ahead
  • Flip-flops or sandals-Same idea as the swim suit…we love to get excited about warmer weather
  • Summer hat
  • Sidewalk Chalk
  • Bubbles
  • Chapstick
  • Sunscreen (I love this one!)

And we like to fill Easter eggs with coins instead of chocolate! But we always have a little bit of chocolate!

What are you filling your basket with this year?
